What I’m Watching: Life in Pieces

Life in Pieces: Season 3, Episode 15 “Graffiti Cute Jewelry Shots” (B-)

I wasn’t too fond of any of the storylines in this episode, with the final one featuring Tim and Colleen bonding over him actually being a good doctor and then developing a love for knitting because its strongest segment. Greg’s tech talk was hopefully out of touch, and no one understood any of his references. Why he would have thought that writing mean stuff about himself on the wall of the bathroom was a good idea is a mystery, and the fact that his new boss got suspended because of it, prompting him to get promoted, is hard to believe. Sophia has always been precocious, and I guess it should come as no surprise that she knows words like “sanctimonious” which confuse Clementine and Tyler. Her attempts to be cute after Lark was taking all the attention that she used to get were cringe-worthy, and the more worthwhile part of it was Samantha getting to educate Sophia about how she was cute before her and knows how all this goes. After Joan kept begging to be killed because she couldn’t handle the cuteness, her fading memory was put on display when she repeatedly gave Jen items she had previously given to Heather. It was nice to Jen feel like her mother-in-law appreciated her and for Joan to be happy to be bonding with Jen, but I can’t imagine any of that is going to last now that she’s had to take back those things and created a wedge between her and Heather.
