What I’m Watching: Legends of Tomorrow

Legends of Tomorrow: Season 4, Episode 11 “Séance and Sensibility” (B-)

Only on this show would characters have no choice but to sing their lines and not be all that fazed by it. This show is at least very clever in the way that magical creatures affecting the past are discovered, with Mona’s shirt in this episode serving as the trigger that Jane Austen’s career did not proceed as it was supposed to. Sara and Charlie enjoyed making fun of Zari for stumbling all over herself in front of the attractive footman, and her initial capture of the magical being didn’t end up being all that successful since the force fields on the ship capable of containing creatures are not apparently impervious to spells being cast, which is something they should absolutely get fixed for the future. I like that Nora chose to appear in the mirror in front of Ray so that she could immediately convince him of her innocence, and they got to get passionate too as a result of the spell that was affecting everyone on the ship. While Hank’s spirit was able to communicate with the team enough to tell them who his partner was, I’m not sure that it’s going to be enough to exonerate Nora in Nate’s mind, especially since he now feels more connected to his father than ever before. I am curious to see what comes next with Nate and Zari, with the number of couples on this show reaching almost unprecedented heights. With the threat of Neron confirmed, it’s about time that Sara got her partner back on board so that the legends have all the help they can get.
