What I’m Watching: The Good Wife

The Good Wife: Season 4, Episode 10 “Battle of the Proxies” (B+)

The main case in this episode was pretty damn interesting thanks to the double trials going on and the extensive interference in the other case going on thanks to Alicia and Matan. I love that Laura is going up against Will so often, and that she’s gotten good at knowing what he’s up to, getting the judge to fine him an additional $10,000 when she realized that he was going to try to bring up the other trial again. Will having the witness put in his earplugs to show that he couldn’t actually have heard anything was great, and the rest of the trial spiraled out of control thanks to Kalinda’s discovery that their client was in fact guilty and the resulting verdict that both men were guilty. It seems that Kalinda finally managed to rid herself of Nick following his threatening of Alicia, something which she, to her credit, managed to respond to quite well, and I’m hoping that this is the last we’ll hear of him. Kalinda may have more to worry about now that Eli has shown the Department of Justice investigator the photo of the two of them, whose ownership shouldn’t be too difficult to ascertain. I like Hamish Linklater’s David LaGuardia, who managed to truly spook Eli after his initial casual comments. Finding out that he actually wants Peter is bad news, and things can’t go in a good direction from here. Alicia talking to both her children about sex following her discover of the “What type of condoms” search history was extremely awkward, but nothing could compare to Zack’s detective work that revealed that Jackie was the one who typed it in.
