My predictions: 5/6, picking Holly Hunter over Britton
Missing: Sally Field, Lauren Graham, Anna Gunn, Holly Hunter, Melissa Leo, Katey Sagal, Anna Paquin
Out with the old, in with the long-ignored! Gone are perennial nominees like Oscar winner Sally Field, which is a huge relief. Some mainstays remain, like Mariska Hargitay, Glenn Close, and Kyra Sedgwick, but there’s room for new blood too! New series star Julianna Marguiles was expected to be included, but twice-snubbed January Jones and thrice-snubbed Connie Britton are welcome inclusions, the latter especially for “Friday Night Lights” fans. The only tragedy about this category is that Katey Sagal, Anna Gunn, and Anna Paquin still had to be left out.
Who should win? I think it should really be Jones, but I’d be fine with Marguiles also.
