The Shield: Season 7, Episode 1 "Coefficient of Drag" (B+)
I can't really describe my excitement before the premiere of the final season of the best show ever. I'm happy to report that this was a strong start to what is sure to be a terrific season. A super-intense start with Vic and Ronnie bursting in on Mara and Shane and pretty much almost killing Shane. The show's pace is indicative that this show will not go quietly - this is going to be a monster of a finish. Ronnie's first kill is an act of dedication to Vic, and I'm excited that he's now leading the Strike Team and that he should have his biggest and best role yet this season. I'm delighted to see the addition of two of my favorite actors to the opening credits lineup: Paula Garces (Tina) and David Marciano (Billings). Tina should have an enhanced role this year, and Billings provides appropriate comic relief. I was completely surprised by the wonderful addition of Laurie Holden of "The X-Files" as the agency consultant. This is going to be one tremendous season with an amazing cast. Can't wait for next week.
