The competition: Toni Collette’s multiple-personality mother on “The United States of Tara,” Courteney Cox’s real estate agent on “Cougar Town,” Edie Falco’s dedicated nurse on “Nurse Jackie,” Tina Fey’s harried television writer on “30 Rock,” and Lea Michele’s singing perfectionist on “Glee.”
For your information: Fey is the only returning nominee, and all four newbies are from freshman shows. Fey has won the past two years. Falco has seven previous nods and two wins for “The Sopranos.” Collette has one TV movie nod, and this is the first nomination for the other two.
Who should win: Fey is great, but so is Michele
Who will win: A lot of competition. I think it will be the uber-popular Michele.

Lea Michele's voice is just heavenly, but I wasn't all that impressed with her as an actress. She CAN sing, though, can't she?
