Top Ten New Shows of 2009: #4

My annual TV Awards, the AFT Television Awards, are given out during the summer. But this year, during both the spring and the fall, produced many impressive new television series. As 2009 closes out and 2010 begins, here’s a look back at the best new shows of the year.

#4: Hung
The first two episodes of HBO’s summer series were iffy, but after that, this show was one of the most entertaining dramatic comedies of the summer. The humor is sharp and subtle, and the performances from “ho” Patrick Jane and “pimp” Jane Adams are spectacular. This show only produced ten episodes, so there should be even more to look forward to in season two this coming year.
