Top Ten New Shows of 2009: #6

My annual TV Awards, the AFT Television Awards, are given out during the summer. But this year, during both the spring and the fall, produced many impressive new television series. As 2009 closes out and 2010 begins, here’s a look back at the best new shows of the year.

#6: Bored to Death
After a shaky start, this slow-moving series about a struggling author who tries his hand at being a private detective took off. Each member of the trio made up of Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson is zanier than the next, and it’s their craziness that makes this show work. Since only eight episodes have aired, this show should have even more to offer next year.
