Golden Globe Nominees: Best Actress in a TV Series - Drama

My predictions: 2/5, picking only Margulies and Sedgwick
Who’s missing: Glenn Close (Damages), January Jones (Mad Men), Anna Paquin (True Blood)

Well, the Globes are officially done with both “Damages” and “True Blood,” shutting both shows out completely. Fortunately, of course, that makes room for two fun inclusions, one far more deserving than the other. That would of course be the magnificent Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy), whose nomination is just awesome. The other nod goes to Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs), which is fine even though I don’t really like her on the show. “Mad Men” wife January Jones gets swapped out for co-star Elisabeth Moss, earning her first Globe nod, and joining heavyweights Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer).

Who could win? I’d love to say Sagal, but barring a repeat for Margulies, I’d say Perabo surprises and takes this one home.
