Survivor: Season 21, Episode 12 “You Started, You’re Finishing” (B)
So the two players least likely to win but most likely to make it to the end decide to quit in this week's episode. Just when I thought that NaOnka was turning into a decent player, she decides to throw in the towel. Purple Kelly's decision is just as shockingly stupid. I never really thought she was having a terribly tough time, until the recap episode showed a never-before-scene of her crying because of the rain. I also think that by NaOnka quitting, it gave Purple Kelly the excuse to quit as well.
In my opinion, it’s really stupid that people who quit still get to be on the Jury. They made a decision that they didn’t want to be part of the game. They wanted out. They shouldn’t get the privilege of deciding the end result of the game. It's also really annoying that the quitters get to go to Ponderosa (the resort area for voted out Jury members where they wait until the Final Tribal Council). They quit and shouldn’t be treated like kings in luxury!
I do like how angry Probst was during this episode. (For example: calling them quitters repeatedly and telling Purple Kelly to "get out" after snuffing her torch at Tribal Council.)
NaOnka is also quite delusional, believing that she could actually win the game. The only reason someone would bring her to the end is because they know that no Jury member would ever vote for her. The best she could do is get the runner up prize. It’s really a shame for the current members of the Jury, because NaOnka had a hand in voting them out, and she gets to leave the game on her own terms, when they really really want to be back in the game.
I doubt any more players are going to quit this season, which is a good thing because pretty much everyone left actually has a shot at winning, even Dan, if he goes up against the right people at the Final Tribal Council.
