What I’m Watching: Weeds

Weeds: Season 7, Episode 7 “Vehement v. Vigorous” (B+)

One thing Nancy doesn’t need right now is someone glued to her, watching her every move because they have it in for her. Ed getting fired because of Nancy is a good reason for him to be upset, and he was decently diligent about following Nancy around and disrupting her life, but, as tends to be the case with this show, Nancy moves quickly from one domineering man to another, trading on the people she supposedly cares about rather freely. Up and telling Foster Klein that she’s a drug dealer seems extraordinarily impulsive and even stupid, but apparently his favorite board game is Risk and, if anything, he’s excited by that factoid. Nancy being targeted to be a whistleblower, something to which she readily agrees, is definitely going to put a snag in her budding relationship with the CEO of the company, and hopefully it won’t impact her in an overly negative way. I’m not what Zoya’s return will bring, but that’s definitely going to complicate matters. Silas seems to have more than enough ideas for the business, and his newfound fighting skills should serve him well on the side. It’s too bad that no one seems to paying any mind to Andy’s entrepreneurial spirit, but maybe if no one is watching, he’ll actually be able to accomplish something. I love that Shane has already worked out getting an internship with a police officer, and listening to him so easily talk a prostitute into going to college was absolutely hilarious.
