Final Golden Globe Predictions

The Golden Globes air tonight! Last year, four out of five drama series nominees were freshmen, and this year, like two years ago, just one of them is. Interestingly, the same is true on the comedy side, which is much rarer. Emmy juggernaut “Game of Thrones” is barely represented, while “Fleabag” is expected to win all three of its categories. “When They See Us” was shut out, so it’s a question of whether “Chernobyl” will dominate or a newer limited series can eclipse it. There’s no one I’m especially rooting for this year, though I’ll certainly be excited to see Andrew Scott win, and I’d enjoy Ben Platt winning as well. I’m paying much more attention to the film categories, where I’ve seen everything, but I’ll enjoy these races too. Predicted winners are below – click on category headings for full analysis, and leave your thoughts in the comments! Head over to MoviesWithAbe.com for film predictions.
