What We Do in the Shadows: Season 3, Episode 2 “The Cloak of Duplication” (B)

My prediction that Colin would end up being the leader was wrong, since he likely wouldn’t find the job capable of giving him enough draining power. Instead, Nadja and Nandor were splitting the role, both plotting to put the other in second position eventually, something that gave Guillermo plenty to laugh about when he was speaking about it to the camera. Their joint efforts came into play when they found the woke younger council, and though Nandor decided that they were going to retreat, Nadja made a bold move to rip out the leader’s heart and make her point very well heard. It was fun to see Colin meet an admirer of his, an energy vampire who enjoyed droning on about the benefits of CBD, something that no one wanted to hear since it was just so uninteresting. I am excited to see how Colin’s 100th birthday celebration plays out, though I’m sure it will be very boring. The cloak of duplication was too hard to resist for Nandor, though assigning Laszlo to go seduce Meg at the gym on his behalf was a bad idea made even worse by him delegating it to Colin. Laszlo was doing fine until he said the wrong thing, and Guillermo just made it seem like Nandor was in love with him. It turns out that, when the real Nandor went, she wasn’t taken aback at all but instead just responded that she was a lesbian. Erasing her memory of him didn’t accomplish much since he took out his frustration on that hard-working security guard who will definitely remember him.
