Burn Notice: Season 1, Episode 1 "Pilot" (C+)
I suppose this pilot is entertaining enough, but overall it is pretty preposterous and generally lacking. Jeffrey Donovan is an able lead, but he needs to put a bit more effort into his continous sarcastic remarks. Bruce Campbell is fine as the comic relief in a fairly comic show, but I feel as if his performance might get tired soon. The overall concept of the show does not really make sense long-term, since there is just too much contact between Westen and the people he supposedly cannot get in touch with, and his mother? Yeah, I do not know about that one. That could get old real fast. I may tune in next week just to see if it gets better, but thus far, it is more than predictable and truthfully a bit slow. Just to be real corny here, "Burn Notice" may have to get burned.
