What I'm Watching: In Case of Emergency (Last Episode)

In Case of Emergency: Season 1, Episode 12 "Disorder in the Court" (B-)

This show, which I will now refer to in the past tense since I highly doubt it will be renewed (though FOX's "The Loop" got a surprise renewal last year, but alas its second season has been pushed to summer, which is never a good sign), has had a steadily mediocre run with plently of hilarious moments, a mixed-quality cast with standout performances from Greg Germann and Kelly Hu, and a generally ridiculous outline. I have enjoyed it for the most part, and as much as it was never quite as funny as ABC's tragically short-lived comedy "Sons and Daughters" from last year, it was constant in its quality and always reliable for a good laugh or two.

Season grade: B

Renewal chances: My original post was incorrect, I thought that this week was the scheduled season finale. Apparently, the season finale was supposed to air next week, but ABC just pulled the episode in favor of a repeat of lost (news courtesy of thefutoncritic.com). That is terrible news and this show is as good as dead.
