The Shield: Season 6, Episode 6 "Chasing Ghosts" (A-)
Right as I was beginning to doubt the direction of the show, along comes a stellar episode to show me that the cast and crew know what they are doing. A dramatic confrontation between Vic and Shane is more than I could ask for - and both Michael Chiklis and Walton Goggins give fantastic performances (Goggins submitted last week's episode, a great choice, for Emmy consideration). The relationship between Vic and Ronnie is so intriguing and excellent. All of the character relationships are fascinating, and this episode delves deep into so many of them. My personal favorite is the respect new guy Hyatt seems to have for Vic, and his seeming indication that he does not believe Vic deserves to go.
