Golden Globe Winner Predictions: Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama
The competition: Claire Danes’ bipolar CIA station chief (Homeland), Viola Davis’ fearsome legal educator (How to Get Away with Murder), Julianna Margulies’ maternal lawyer (The Good Wife), Ruth Wilson’s adulterous Hamptons waitress (The Affair), and Robin Wright (House of Cards).
For your information: Margulies is the longest-running nominee in this category, earning her sixth nomination this year. She won on her first try in 2009. Danes is back after a year off and two consecutive wins. Wright won last year for the freshman season of her show, and she is joined by two nominees from new shows: Davis and Wilson. “The Affair” and “House of Cards” are both nominated for Best TV Series – Drama.
Who should win? Wilson or Wright
Who will win? Globe voters will probably go for Davis.
