What I'm Watching: In Case of Emergency

In Case of Emergency: Season 1, Episode 10 "The Good, the Bad, and the Mob" (B-)

The plotlines keep getting more and more ridiculous each week, but this time it's David Arquette's turn to shine, and he and the rest of the cast are hilarious as always. The Korean mob bit and its resolution are also funny, and the biggest thing is that the jokes, however inane and irreverent, are generally not highly inappropriate and grotesque, like the kind of humor on other comedies like "The Winner" and "The War at Home."

In related news, the yet-to-premiere comedy "Notes from the Underbelly" has been relocated to Thursdays at 10pm on ABC, bumping the recently renewed hour-long comedy "Men in Trees." This is hopefully good news for "In Case of Emergency," which should now have the chance to air the final two episodes of its first season, with the finale airing April 18th.
