What I'm Watching: Lost

Lost: Season 3, Episode 17 "Catch-22" (B)

This is one intense episode, but I am not sure how great the payoff is. The Desmond flashbacks are interesting, but are not entirely expansive. This episode includes a number of humorous moments, like Sawyer asking Jack and Juliet if they are playing "who's your favorite Other" and Jin and Hurley telling stories with a flashlight around a campfire. The complete cast is once again not present in this episode, as they had been in the past several. The previews from last week include scenes that are yet to come, but the end is a whopper, and what is going on? That is a question I find myself asking after every single episode of "Lost."
