Supergirl: Season 3, Episode 12 “For Good” (B)
I’m not really sure what Reign is since she’s not entirely Kryptonian, but you’d think that all of Alex’s lab work would have come up with something that showed that she’s not human. Now everyone is sympathetic to her and realizes that she’s going through something, but there’s so far away from the truth of it that they’ll never be able to figure it out until it’s way too late. With Sam being examined for the hour, we were free of Reign as a villain and instead had the return of Lillian Luthor to contend with as both Morgan Edge and Lena found their lives in danger. I’ve never completely understood Lillian and what her endgame is, but I suppose it’s mainly to continue her family name’s evil legacy, which means using that super-suit to take out anyone she can as long as they’re not her daughter. Edge has become a conniving, rather pathetic villain, not grateful at all when people are trying to save his life since he’s thinking ahead to what it means for his reputation and future. I wonder how long it will be until Lena is read into the superhero club and realizes that her top two saviors, Guardian and Supergirl, are actually the two people she’s closest to in real life also. After his wife went into action on the man-free planet last week, Mon-El is jumping back into the fray too, eagerly greeted by Lillian and Lena and starting to get pretty comfortable back in the twenty-first century.
