Golden Globe Nominees: Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series

My predictions: 1/5, picking only Colman
Who’s missing? Uzo Adoba, Millie Bobby Brown, Joanne Froggatt, Regina King, Judith Light, Maura Tierney, Constance Zimmer

All five of last year’s nominees were eligible again this year, but they’re all gone, in favor of four series contenders and one miniseries nominee. Olivia Colman (The Night Manager) was the expected nominee, and I also thought that Thandie Newton (Westworld) would be nominated, though I switched her at the last minute to the lead races. Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) is the first performer from her show to be included aside from Peter Dinklage, and it’s an interesting but deserving time for then. And then we have two actresses from NBC’s new hit, with both Chrissy Metz (This Is Us) and Mandy Moore (This Is Us) included. I do like the show, but I don’t think either of them would have made my list.

Who will win? I really hope it’s Newton but I’m not positive it will be.
