Golden Globe Winner Predictions: Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Television Series
The competition: Hope Davis’ Hillary Clinton (The Special Relationship), Jane Lynch’s tyrannical cheerleading coach (Glee), Kelly Macdonald’s long-suffering wife (Boardwalk Empire), Julia Stiles’ victim turned friend (Dexter), and Sofia Vergara’s Colombian wife (Modern Family).
For your information: Lynch is the only returning nominee from last year. Davis was nominated in 2003 for her supporting work in the film “American Splendor,” and Macdonald was up in this category in 2005 for “The Girl in the Café.” This is the first nomination for both Stiles and Vergara.
Who should win: I haven’t seen Davis’ performance, but any of the other nominees will do just fine!
Who will win: I think the hottest one right now is Vergara, unless they go crazy for “Boardwalk Empire.”
