My predictions: 4/7, picking Henry Ian Cusick and Chelcie Ross over Baker, Bridges, and Itzin
I guess six slots weren’t enough to accommodate this year’s pool, though I hardly think that past nominee Gregory Itzin needs to be here for his portrayal of President Logan on “24.” Maybe he wasn’t as bad as the show, but still, he doesn’t merit a mention among this bunch. Both Dylan Baker and Alan Cumming were seedy and great on “The Good Wife,” and returning nominee Robert Morse had some very good moments this season on “Mad Men.” Beau Bridges was fun in drag on “The Closer,” and deserves this a whole lot more than his mention last year for “Desperate Housewives.” I’m not sure Ted Danson needs to be here again, but he was strong this season in select scenes on “Damages.” Rounding out the category we have season-long “Dexter” guest star John Lithgow, who should slay the competition and take home this award.
