Final Golden Globe Winner Predictions

The Golden Globes are tonight, and this is my first time watching an awards show on the West Coast. MoviesWithAbe.com was down for some unknown reason earlier today, but I'm happy to report that it's back up just in time. Please visit MoviesWithAbe.com for film predictions.

On the TV side, I’m making some bold bets that follow historical results. Globe voters usually choose new and fresh shows. Many might imagine that “Homeland” and “Modern Family” will continue to dominate, but I’m betting on almost all freshman contenders. Maybe the HFPA does love “The Newsroom” even if some others don’t think it’s so terrific. The most competitive category aside from Best TV Series – Drama is actually Best Actress in a TV Series – Comedy/Musical. Will it be Louis-Dreyfus or Dunham, or the other two actresses who should have won on earlier nominations, Deschanel or Poehler? Watch out for “Game Change,” which is nominated in five categories. Let’s hope for some fun winners.
