The Flash: Season 6, Episode 7 “The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 1” (B-)
I didn’t fully realize just how close we are to this crisis, and I’m glad that we’re almost there since I’m getting tired of all this buildup. I don’t find Ramsey to be all that compelling as a villain anymore, and I hope that he’s not a big part of the multi-show crossover that we’ll be getting pretty soon. It was interesting to hear him ask Barry if he was a part of any of the many versions of the future that he had seen, and evidently he will be now since Barry isn’t Barry and the Flash is kneeling before Bloodwork, ready to do his bidding. I’ve never been too fond of the Speed Force presenting itself in human form to mess with Barry’s mind, and in this case it was just clear how poisoned he had been by Ramsey since he was so angry and ready to lash out at the image of his mother for constantly making him choose his speed over the people that mattered most to him. That’s going to be a problem to deal with in the next episode (the last before the crisis), and Iris is already moving forward with her article so that she’ll be ready, even if he hasn’t technically vanished in any crisis just yet. Allegra is learning a whole lot of information about the people she’s working with and their secret identities, and Iris confirming that Kamila has known all this for a while is far from helpful since it only makes her feel more out of the loop.
