Golden Globe Nominees: Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a TV Series

My predictions: 3/5, missing Arkin and Winkler
Who’s missing? Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Tony Shalhoub (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid’s Tale)

Emmy winners be damned – this category left off Dinklage (which I correctly predicted), Shalhoub, and Whitford, and instead brought back all three eligible nominees from last year. It’s interesting to see Alan Arkin (The Kominsky Method) and Henry Winkler (Barry) in particular back again since Globe voters don’t tend to reward the same shows again, and certainly not supporting players. Kieran Culkin (Succession) returns despite not getting an Emmy nomination, and this time he has some more support for his show with two other bids. And Andrew Scott (Fleabag), the biggest Emmy snub of all, joins costar and series creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge as his show’s other only acting nomination. Rounding out the list is Stellan Skarsgard (Chernobyl), the rare long representative from a limited series.

Who will win? I’d be thrilled if it was Scott, and that’s who I’m going to predict!
