The Great Indoors: Season 1, Episode 20 “The Heartbreaker” (B)
There are definitely some mismatched couples on this show, and with Rachel out of the picture, I think that the only sensible pair that we see on an episodic basic would be Jack and Brooke. Honestly, Greg and Clark get along a whole lot better than Greg and Emma do, and I enjoyed the fact that Clark took the guy who is keeping him from being with Emma out for a whole day just so that he wouldn’t have to lose him in the friendship. Mason wasn’t too helpful in keeping Emma occupied, and instead she showed up just as Clark told Greg that he was about to be dumped. It seems like Clark is never going to make a move, and this show is sure to be cancelled before she ever does anything. Brooke, on the other hand, did have an important realization thanks to Jack that she has very little in common with Paul, and that it’s something that she needs to address. Jack’s attempt to help Eddie have a good time on his divorce-aversary didn’t get off to a strong start when he accidentally took her to a bar recommended by his ex-wife, but even with her being there and his incessant efforts to showcase his magic, he seems to have done very well moving on all on his own. Eddie isn’t my favorite character on the show, but he’s usually good for a bit of entertainment, and this episode turned out to be a pretty good showcase, especially since we got to see flashes of the crazy Brooke who used to be.
