What I'm Watching: The Closer (Season Premiere)

The Closer: Season 3, Episode 1 "Homewrecker" (A-)

What a way to open a season. From its start-and-stop video opening, this episode solidifies the greatness of this show. It truly deserves to be the highest-rated cable series. I am more than thrilled that those three cast members formerly credited under "also starring", which I mentioned in my previous post, have now been bumped up to series regulars. I applaud that, since they are really vital and entertaining members of the cast, especially Lt. Tau in this episode when he directs the camera to "come with him". The murder case itself plays out very well dramatically. The financial crisis subplot is highly entertaining, and Sgt. Gabriel's suggestion is very clever. I am extremely excited for the rest of this season.
