What I'm Watching: The Loop

The Loop: Season 2, Episodes 3 & 4 "Yeah, Presents" & "CSI: Donut Idol Bowl" (F-)

Why bring back a show for a second season if it lacks all of its spark and positive elements? I was overjoyed that "The Loop" was renewed for a second year, but I now find myself wishing that it had been cancelled so that it could have gone out with some glory. The absence of Piper and Lizzy is the first major problem, and the toning-down of the other characters (Russ, Meryl, Darcy, and Sully). The new additions, like Sikander, are a waste of screen time. I was disgusted and so much more than turned off by the plotline of the first episode, and it was only made worse by the appearance of the Worst Character Ever, a.k.a. Derek. The dialogue is despicable, and in the second episode, plots even resort to Darcy falling down the stairs. Do not even get me started on the "Pete the Donut" plotline. I am seriously considering not watching the remaining six episodes of this show, as I might prefer not to watch this once-decent show sufer a miserable, drawn-out death. It has become like Rob Corrdry's horrendous comedy "The Winner" from earlier this year, with a mix of last year's even more awful "Free Ride", and that combination is hard to achieve.
