What I’m Watching: Ringer

Ringer: Season 1, Episode 8 “Maybe We Can Get a Dog Instead?” (C+)

Everything seems to be coming together even more than it was last week, as even the real Siobhan can’t keep herself out of happenings in New York. Bridget’s official loss of the baby seems to be helping to bring her family together, though she appears less than concerned, which may arouse suspicion among those unaware that her baby never existed at all. It was fair for Andrew to be upset when he overheard Bridget tell Juliet that she doesn’t want to try again, and he’s proving to be a pretty nice guy, forgiving her and then even okaying Malcolm’s stay without much of a hesitation. Machado making Bridget wear a wire when she met with Malcolm was rather extreme, and it’s interesting to see how strange it is to have Bridget lying to the one person with whom she’s always been honest. Introducing him to Charlie likely won’t end well, but it seems he’s less extreme than his employer and might let the poor guy live. Juliet asking Mr. C to help her with Tessa and essentially inviting herself over to watch a movie on his couch is highly inappropriate, and I do hope she doesn’t get the nice professor in too much trouble. Tyler getting called to New York after Andrew fired his boss for the documents that Siobhan somehow got her hands on was an unexpected development, and he sure was shocked when Bridget showed up at dinner. I wonder how this will affect Siobhan’s plans, and I’m waiting for her to finally make contact with someone back home other than Charlie.
