To start off, yes, you are reading correctly. "Jericho" has unforgivably been cancelled, and CBS will air in its place a new reality show, basically "Extreme Makeover: Kid Edition." It astounds me that anything could think that, ratings aside, "Ghost Whisperer" and "The New Adventures of Old Christine" (returning midseason) are better than "Jericho." The best new show on network television, and more significantly the best series on network television, has now been cancelled, news which is even harsher after seeing the tremendously awesome season finale. Words cannot fully express my rage over that cancellation, and I will write more about "Jericho" later. Otherwise, the schedule shows only one time slot change, which is the swapping of "Without a Trace" and "Shark." The cancellation of "Close to Home" and the renewal of the dreadful "Rules of Engagement" are puzzling, but I have not watched either since their premieres so I do not really care. The new shows are fine, nothing too exciting. The issue with Tuesday nights at 10pm will be addressed in my next post.
