Lost: Season 3, Episode 19 "The Brig" (B)
An impossible choice for Locke becomes a devastating discovery for Sawyer in probably the most believable and legitimate off-island connection between two characters (my roommate actually predicted the link at the beginning of the episode). Sawyer's enlightening conversation with Locke's dad makes for a great scene, but the whole kill-decree by Ben makes little sense and does not really fit in with everything else that is going on in the show. Jack's question to Juliet ("Should we tell them") is so intriguing, and I am desperately curious to know what he is talking about. I do like that the "clique" (as Arzt termed the credited cast members before he blew himself up in the first season) has now reformed to be Desmond, Charlie, Hurley, and Jin with the occasional inclusion of Sayid and Kate.
On the subject of what the hell is exactly going on, no real answers there. We do have confirmation that the mysterious Naomi did say that authorities found not only the plane but all the dead bodies inside. More and more clues indicate that our castaways are in purgatory, but the creators have denied that fact on numerous occasions. It would be a major letdown anyway, like when an entire show's inexplicable events are answered with the disappointing "it was all a dream." Locke's dad cryptically says "you haven't figured out where we are yet?" but I have to say, I wholeheartedly symphasize with Locke's confusion.
