What I’m Watching: Nikita

Nikita: Season 2, Episode 14 “Rogue” (B)

This is the kind of format that I could get behind, with Percy out in the open and going around getting revenge on people, appropriate hat and all. Roan and the Guardians make for good disciples, and it’s definitely good to see him on the outside again. The initial notion that he was trying to scare Nikita by bringing her name up was quickly revealed to be quite untrue, as getting to Carla proves to be the real reason Percy killed a cop. It’s not much of a surprise that Carla was the founder of Division, and it amuses me that both Percy and Amanda are so identifiable by their first names, after she had no idea what Division was. That makes the fact that Carla is at the top of Amanda’s kill list make more sense, and I do wonder what happened to cause such a rift between them, aside from Amanda’s thirst for power that’s matched only by Percy’s. I’m hopeful that whatever lies ahead in Amanda’s plan for Alex to come out publicly and take down Semak will be engaging, though it seems that it might be sidelined until Carla is out of the picture. Percy’s kill switch was awfully easy to trace, and I suppose the reason no one tried to do it before is that they always knew where he was. Unfortunately for him, that man sure was good at making enemies, and now he has multiple targets on his head, and surviving isn’t going to be an easy task.
