Emmy Nominees: Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

My predictions: 5/6, picking Emilia Clarke over Baranski

I’m actually pretty happy with how things played out here, mainly because I don’t think that Emilia Clarke deserved a nomination this or last year, whereas Christine Baranski (The Good Wife) continues to do great work on a show that had an uneven season. It’s also refreshing to see Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), an actress who was quite good this particular season, recognized instead. Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) got a fitting welcome-back for a strong performance and plotline this year, while the other three have become shoo-ins at this point - Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey), Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad), and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men). Still no love for “Parenthood,” which got zilch this year, but oh well.

Who should win? A tough call – any of these would be great!
Who will win? It might be Gunn again, but I think it may go to Headey or Froggatt.
