Weeds: Season 2, Episode 1 "Corn Snake" (B/B+)
Imagine my excitement when today at Best Buy I found that they were giving away a free DVD with the pilot episodes of "The Tudors" and "Dexter" (both of which I have already seen) and the season two premiere of "Weeds." I have been eagerly awaiting another "Weeds" episode since the shocking ending of the first season (see it for yourself, I won't discuss it anymore here). After watching the episode, I am not quite sure what to think. It definitely has quick, witty banter that is beyond amusing and priceless performances from Elizabeth Perkins, Kevin Nealon, and Justin Kirk. But the flow seems a bit off, maybe simply because I am not used to it. I am sure that when the second season is released on DVD in an impossible two months, I will get back into it and enjoy it quite a bit. No matter what, though, Elizabeth Perkins deserves another Emmy nomination.
