What I’m Watching: Parenthood

Parenthood: Season 3, Episode 11 “Missing” (B+)

I realized almost immediately as Kristina returned to the fast-paced world of campaigns and politics that I was incorrect last week when I couldn’t remember Kristina ever working on the show. It’s more than a bit unfortunate that her autistic son happened to wander off under her daughter’s watch on her first day of work, but I do hope she’ll get over it and come to enjoy and embrace her work once again. Calling Rachel to be firm and then accept her apology was a good move, and I do have to hand it to Rachel for being brave enough to call Kristina in the first place. Speaking of assistants, I imagine they’ll be some bumps in the road for Amber in her new role as Kristina’s assistant, but it should be fun to watch. Zoe getting into a huge fight with Troy and coming to Julia for comfort is indicative of the fact that this adoption story just isn’t going away, and things may work out well in the end if Zoe has her way. Mark saying he could see having a baby with Sarah was surprising mainly for the fact that it didn’t freak her out, and I’d hate to see that relationship end badly since it seems to be going so smoothly at the moment, against all odds. I’m most impressed with Crosby for being mature and letting Jasmine after he sees how much Dr. Joe cares about Jabar. Let’s just hope that Jasmine doesn’t decide to be Mrs. Honesty and undo it all.
