SAG Nominees: Best Female Actor in a Drama Series

My predictions: 4/5, picking Huffman over Smith
Who’s missing: Felicity Huffman, Taraji P. Henson, Tatiana Maslany, Jean Smart, Kirsten Dunst

This is one of the less interesting categories this year, mainly because it’s the exact same list as last year, save for the unfortunate dismissal of the excellent Tatiana Maslany, who I knew well enough not to predict. It's actually quite typical of SAG not to embrace new shows, though they've done a bit more of that in other races. I’m very happy that Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey) is still nominated since she continues to be one of the best parts of her show. I’m less supportive of the repeated inclusion of Claire Danes (Homeland) and Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), and I still don’t quite understand why people love Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder) and her show. Rounding out the list is Robin Wright (House of Cards), whose show is still relatively new and she’s consistently very good.

Who could win? I think that Davis may repeat.
