SAG Predictions: Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series

Last year’s nominees: The Big Bang Theory, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, Orange is the New Black, Veep

The rundown: All five of last year’s nominees are eligible again this year, and it’s a question of how much SAG voters are loyal to shows that other awards bodies have abandoned in recent years. While “Transparent” unquestionably deserves this award, I’m not sure the dramedy will score a spot. “Silicon Valley” is a better bet since it’s just the kind of show that SAG voters will like, as is “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” Other surprises like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” last year are possible, but who knows what they’ll be!
