Golden Globe Nominees: Best Actor in a TV Series – Drama

My predictions: 3/5, picking Spacey and West over Hamm and Odenkirk
Who’s missing? Kevin Spacey, Dominic West, Terrence Howard

Now this is a cool category – I regularly watch all the shows recognized here. I couldn’t be more excited about Wagner Moura (Narcos) and his show getting in for such a deserved and excellent series. Ditto Rami Malek (Mr. Robot), though that was always more likely given its English language and yesterday’s SAG nomination. I didn’t think voters would embrace Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), but, as predicted, the show didn’t go over in other places like Best Supporting Actor or Best Drama Series, just here with a well-earned nod for its star. I’m so happy that Globe voters still have room for Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), who continues to be superb on his show. And it’s not usually their style, but I guess Globe voters wanted to pay one last tribute to Jon Hamm (Mad Men), an actor they gave a trophy to but never let him accept it since it was way back in season one during the writers’ strike.

Who will win? I’m going to go out on a limb and say Moura.
