SAG Predictions: Best Male Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie

Last year’s nominees: Adrien Brody (Houdini), Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Richard Jenkins (Olive Kitteridge), Mark Ruffalo (The Normal Heart), and Billy Bob Thornton (Fargo)

The rundown: With all shows that end up being classified as miniseries by other awards groups not contending here, there’s plenty of room for those actually starring in miniseries and TV movies. I’ve seen a grand total of none of these, but it seems like at the head of the pack we have Oscar Isaac (Show Me a Hero), Mark Rylance (Wolf Hall), Damian Lewis (Wolf Hall), and David Oyelowo (Nightingale). I think Ben Kingsley (Tut) is likeliest to join them, but it could also be Michael K. Williams (Bessie), Idris Elba (Luther), or Ricky Gervais (Derek Special).

Current predictions: Isaac, Kingsley, Lewis, Oyelowo, Rylance
