What I’m Watching: Big Sky

Big Sky: Season 3, Episode 2 “The Woods Are Lovely, Dark and Deep” (B-)

It feels quite obvious that Sunny is up to no good, though she was quick to pretend that having everyone go out and look for Paige and Luke was her idea when Emily suggested it and not the opposite of what she was trying to have happen. So much for Beau’s family not being personally involved in what was going on, and that’s partially Cassie’s fault for failing to tell him just how dangerous things could be when he stopped by to check in on her while they were there anyway asking questions. Avery was cordial enough to him when he showed up, but snooping in Paige and Luke’s tent indicates that he has something to hide. This episode should be a lesson to all young - and old - people that they should turn off the sounds on their phones when they’re spying on anyone, since it’s very easy to silently take a covert photo that doesn’t then result in being immediately identified. Paul learned that living incognito can also be difficult, especially when the person who owns the property you’re squatting in calls the police to get you evicted despite having recently been a regularly-operating criminal themselves. Tonya may just be going legit, and she didn’t get any points knocked off for her role in the whole affair that just ended up revealing a corrupt U.S. Marshal who Beau was right to have Poppernak tail since things just didn’t quite feel right, the best way to describe most of what happens on this show.
