Emmy Nominees: Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series

My predictions: 3/6, missing Hardin, McCarthy, and Metcalf

My calculations here weren’t totally off. I predicted an Oscar winner – Brie Larson – instead of an Emmy winner - Melissa McCarthy (Saturday Night Live) – to join Amy Schumer (Saturday Night Live) as solo hosts of the popular variety series. I correctly predicted duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (Saturday Night Live) to be nominated, but Fey couldn’t score a solo nod for “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” I guessed that Oscar winner Anjelica Huston would be the guest nominee for her show, but instead it was Melora Hardin (Transparent). And I didn’t see Laurie Metcalf (The Big Bang Theory), who scored three separate acting nominations this year, coming, joining costar Christine Baranski (The Big Bang Theory), proving that Emmy voters are over the series regulars on the CBS comedy and just want to honor their onscreen mothers.

Who should win? I’ve only seen Hardin’s work! I have the most catching up to do of any category here.
Who will win? Hard to say, but probably Fey and Poehler?
