My predictions: 3/6, missing “The Americans,” “The Good Wife,” and “UnREAL”
The nominees: Persona Non Grata (The Americans), Episode 8 (Downton Abbey), Battle of the Bastards (Game of Thrones), End (The Good Wife), eps1.0_hellofriend.mov (Mr. Robot), Return (UnREAL)
This is a decent diverse slate of shows, with no “Better Call Saul” hours submitted but six different shows represented. For the second year in a row, The Americans, which finally scored in the top races, made the cut here. For its series finale, The Good Wife is back, as is Downton Abbey for its penultimate episode. The second-best episode of Game of Thrones this season, the only one submitted, is a strong choice. The pilot of Mr. Robot definitely belongs here, and I’m going to check out the pilot of UnREAL soon too.
