Emmy Nominees: Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

My predictions: 3/6, missing Tierney, Williams, and Zimmer

There’s a lot that happened here, and the main takeaway is that “Game of Thrones” dominated, with Maisie Williams deservedly earning her first nomination alongside returning nominees Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey. Christine Baranski and Joanne Froggatt not earning their seventh and fourth nominations, respectively, for the final seasons of their shows was strange, and it didn’t even register that Uzo Aduba, last year’s winner, wasn’t here, with “Orange is the New Black” dropped down from twelve nominations its first year to four its second to just one for casting this year. I don’t know why that is – season three was great. Though Froggatt got snubbed, Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey), which I think is terrific since, even in small doses, she’s one of the best parts of the show. I have to watch Constance Zimmer (UnREAL) in her show since I haven’t seen it, but I like her and I’m intrigued. I couldn’t be more ecstatic about the inclusion of Maura Tierney (The Affair), who won the Golden Globe, though I’m of course puzzled by the absence of anyone or anything else from her show.

Who should win? I need to watch Zimmer, but I would love to see Tierney or Williams win.
Who will win? Something tells me it will be Tierney, which would be awesome.
