Emmy Nominees: Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series

My predictions: 5/6, picking Cheadle over Middleditch

As a goodbye present for “House of Lies,” star Cheadle gets snubbed and the show gets shut out. Instead, we get Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), a fun choice for the anchor of a show that earned the most nominations of any comedy series aside from its leadout “Veep.” It’s great to see Aziz Ansari (Master of None), whose show scored big in the top race, as did that of Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), who was overjoyed when announcing the nominees. Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) is back, this time as the lone nomination for his show. William H. Macy (Shameless) is also recognized again, as is last year’s winner Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent). This is definitely a fun list.

Who should win? I don’t watch Anderson’s or Forte’s shows regularly, so I’ll have to do some catch-up, but I think that it would be fun to see Ansari win.
Who will win? Probably Tambor again.
