What I’m Watching: Timeless

Timeless: Season 2, Episode 7 “Mrs. Sherlock Holmes” (B)

I was thinking, as I’m sure every viewer was, that Lucy would obviously be the one to deliver the speech that was supposed to have been given by the now-deceased Alice Paul, and I was relieved when there was at least a surprise development which involved Mrs. Sherlock Holmes herself, Grace Humiston, getting up to finally speak her voice and ensure that President Woodrow Wilson was inspired the way he should have been. We also had Emma switching sides for once, sent by a doting Keynes to come right back to him but intent on making suffrage a real thing so that her past could play out as she remembered it, allowing her mother to escape her abusive father while still having some rights of her own. Keynes’ affection for Emma is going to be a distraction from him, one that the good guys might hopefully be able to take advantage of. Flynn has certifiably switched sides, getting very close to Lucy and proving his loyalty through his hatred of Emma and his protection of Rufus, who is behaving in a very dangerous way since he thinks he knows when he’s going to die and that means he’s invincible up until that point. The biggest news is something that has yet to be confirmed but would be an awesome development for viewers if a tragic one for Wyatt - that Jessica is actually a Rittenhouse sleeper agent, maybe one who was never dead in the first place but activated to get into these operations and to sabotage them just when they think there’s no threat.
