What I’m Watching: iZombie

iZombie: Season 2, Episode 13 “The Whopper” (B+)

Major has a knack for getting in bed with bad people, and Blaine capturing him for the second time in as many seasons could have spelled very bad news. Yet the former drug addict shook it up pretty quickly, joking just a short time later with Blaine and playing the situation to his advantage. He didn’t turn on his employer, but he is fully working for Blaine at this point. That’s not a terrible position to be in given that it guarantees his safety to a degree, but crossing Vaughn might put him in a tight spot. I love that Blaine revived his father while wearing a disguise to make him think he was old with “Les Miserables” playing in the background. I am very curious to see whether he’ll keep his father around for any nefarious purpose after he reestablishes his right to his inheritance, and I imagine that it may just be what catches Vaughn’s attention. It’s very disconcerting to see how close Drake is to Stacey Boss, being called up by him directly and given a mission to take care of a problem with no questions asked. A fun surprise that I almost didn’t catch was Clive talking to Ravi about how he has very much noticed that, every time they have a case, Liv takes on the personality of the person who has been murdered. Ravi tried to play it off as not being a thing, but it’s good to know that Clive isn’t quite as dense and unperceptive as he often seems.
