Emmy Nominees: Best Limited Series

My predictions: 5/5!

This is my second year in a row scoring five out of five here, though last year I didn’t achieve that in any other category (this year I got drama actor too). I correctly predicted that “Small Axe” wouldn’t make the cut but not that it would nearly be shut out, and I expected The Underground Railroad, which didn’t earn a single acting nomination, to do much better than it did, which was seven bids. I May Destroy You overcame doubts about its chances with an impressive nine nominations, and now I know I really need to start watching it. I felt like The Queen’s Gambit didn’t show up in such a big way but it definitely did with eighteen nominations, while Mare of Easttown hit about every possible stop it could with sixteen. And then there’s WandaVision, which dominated as the second-most nominated program with twenty-three nominations!

What should win? I haven’t watched “I May Destroy You,” so for now I’ll stick with “The Queen’s Gambit” as my favorite.
What will win? I’m going to stand behind The Queen’s Gambit even though “WandaVision” looks to be ahead at the moment.
