Emmy Nominees: Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series

My predictions: 2/6, picking only Fox and Morse

This category proved decently unpredictable, and its layout is somewhat interesting. For one thing, all of these actors appeared in several episodes of their respective shows. The returning nominee, for the third and presumably final time, is Robert Morse (Mad Men). Beau Bridges (Brothers & Sisters) earns his fourth nomination in five years for a guest role and his second consecutive spot in this category. Michael J. Fox (The Good Wife) has two previous nominations in this category for different shows in the past six years, and he won the last time he was nominated. Bruce Dern (Big Love) was a top ten finalist a few years ago back when he was in the supporting race, and now serves as his show’s sole representative nominee. The other two nominees are particularly intriguing since they play the kind of part that’s usually easily neglected in a category like this, a recurring ensemble player. Congratulations to surprise nominees Jeremy Davies (Justified), an especially superb choice, and Paul McCrane (Harry’s Law).

Who should win? Fox or Davies
Who will win? Probably Fox.
