My predictions: 5/6, picking Debra Winger over Michelle Forbes
Out with the old, in with the new. Returning for its third season after a one-year hiatus, “In Treatment” has been entirely forgotten about, earning a grand total of zero nominations. Sorry, Debra Winger. Instead, we have two freshmen additions to the category, Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire) and Michelle Forbes (The Killing). I’m ecstatic that Margo Martindale (Justified) received a nomination, and it’s wonderful that she’s not the only one from her show recognized as three other cast members were too. Returning from last year we have both ladies from “The Good Wife,” Christine Baranski and last year’s winner Archie Panjabi, as well as Christina Hendricks (Mad Men).
Who should win? Martindale
Who will win? I’m thinking that Martindale might just be able to pull it off, though Forbes could also scoop it up if Panjabi doesn’t take a second consecutive trophy.
